I have spent much of my life trying to avoid the unknown, as though holding back the tide—trying to control what often feels uncontrollable is attainable. Yet, no matter how carefully I try to keep it at bay, life inevitably brings me face-to-face with the vastness of what I can't fully predict or understand. At times, it feels like standing at the edge of a cliff, being asked to accept that some answers will only appear when I take that first, uncertain step forward.

The unknown can indeed feel overwhelming. Forces beyond our control remind us of how small we are in the vastness of nature, and major life changes, loss, or unexpected events show us how quickly everything can shift. These moments can leave us grappling with both the physical and emotional impacts of an unpredictable reality.

When you’re ready, my role is to walk alongside you as we explore your inner resilience and uncover your unique strengths. Together, we’ll approach fears and uncertainties that may feel overwhelming, breaking them down with compassion and clarity. My goal is to create a safe space where challenges can become opportunities for growth.

The unknown may feel daunting, but it can also be beautiful. Just as rainbows appear after the rain slows and the sun begins to break through, I hope you or your child can find that same light in this journey. The rain may be cold and gloomy, but together, we can walk forward until you discover your own inner rainbow. Remember, each rainbow is made of different hues—there’s no single “right” path, only your path. I’m here to help you take that first step toward finding yours.

  • I hold a Master of Social Work from the University of Kentucky and a Bachelor of Social Work from Lipscomb University. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker that is dually licensed in Tennessee and Colorado.

As a licensed social worker, I specialize in working with first responders, children, teens, and young adult - especially those navigating the complex journey through trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm. Additional specialties include working with clients coming out of hospitalization, suicidal thoughts, self-injurious behaviors, complicated grief, and high conflict divorce or custody cases. Many of the people I work with feel stuck between "holding it together" on the outside and carrying deep, unspoken pain on the inside. My job is to help you bridge that gap - to find clarity, connection, and a renewed sense of peace within yourself.

I work with adolescents (10+), adult, couples, and families. I strive to create a safe and welcoming space where every part of you is respected and valued. I honor and affirm clients of all races, genders, sexual orientations, and body sizes, and I understand how systems of oppression can impact mental health. My approach is rooted in compassion and cultural humility, so you may feel supported, heard, and empowered to show up as your authentic self.

  • Therapy with me isn't about "fixing" you. Because here's the thing (in case someone has told you otherwise), you aren't broken and don't need to be fixed. Therapy with me is about helping you reclaim your story, your voice, and your strength in a way that feels grounded and authentic. I combine evidence-based approaches like with a deeply human, relational style. Sessions are meant to be collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your unique needs.

I am formally training in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). However, as an eclectic practitioner, I often draw from other modalities including Parent Child Interactive Therapy (PCIT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Sand Tray Therapy, expressive arts, and attachment-based approaches. I am also in the process of getting my Brainspotting certification.

Whether we are processing trauma or exploring anxiety and life transitions, my approach will always be grounded in relationship building. I believe that healing begins in a safe and trusting connection, where you can bring your full self without fear of judgement. Together, we will focus on creating safe systems within yourself - tools, practices, and resources that help you feel more grounded, resilient, and supported in daily life. I also deeply value the wisdom of your lived experiences, integrating them into our work so that therapy feels personal, meaningful, and rooted in your unique journey. I honor the pace that feels right for you, allowing space to process experiences gently and without pressure, so growth unfolds in a way that feels safe and sustainable.

  • At the heart of my work is a belief that therapy should feel human, not clinical. I shop up with openness and care, and I want you to feel like this is a space where you don’t have to edit yourself. I pay attention to the ways in which your identity and lived experiences shape who we are, and I hold those parts of you with respect. Whether you are showing up with years of hidden pain or just beginning to feel like something needs to change, you are welcome here - exactly as you are. I know healing doesn’t happen on a set timeline, so we’ll move at a pace that feels safe for you. My role is to walk alongside you, helping you build trust in yourself, create supportive inner systems, and discover new ways to feel grounded and resilient in everyday life. Here are some things that I believe:

    • Healing is possible - even when it feels out of reach.

    • Your story matters, and you deserve to tell it in your own time and in your own way.

    • Therapy should feel like exhaling after holding your breath for too long.

    • I am here to walk alongside you, not ahead of you.

    • Growth doesn’t always look like progress - and that is okay.

    • Who you are is NOT a problem to be fixed.

    • Every person deserves to be met with dignity, empathy, and care.

    • Rest is not laziness. Slowness is not failure.

    • There is no “right” way to heal - only your way.

My style of therapy is how I live my life: slow, steady, and intentional. When I am not working, I can often be found curled up with a book, drinking a cup of tea, and watching a digital fireplace. I enjoy engaging in various different artistic ventures including crocheting, cross stitching, playing guitar or piano, painting, or drawing. I have a 3-year-old golden retriever named Mazie who is the light of my life. I am a theatre kid at heart and love all things music, acting, and technical theatre.
