We want you to get the care you deserve.
Grounded in social work values.
Guided by your story and lived experience.
This is our commitment to you.
We, at Root + Bloom, welcome and celebrate people of all bodies, cultures, genders, sexualities, abilities, spiritualities, neurodiversity's, ages, and backgrounds.
As social workers, we hold space for every part of you with care, respect, and curiosity. We’re committed to challenging oppression, owning our privileges, and speaking out against systems and behaviors that are racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, or ageist.
In our work together, we strive to listen deeply, show up with openness, and walk alongside you on your healing journey. Our practice is rooted in inclusivity, compassion, and justice, and we’re dedicated to creating a space—and supporting a world—that feels safe, affirming, and just.
Why we might be a good fit
Therapy works best when it feels like a partnership. Together, we bring different experiences, perspectives, and strengths into the room, creating a foundation for real change.
Our style is eclectic, meaning we adapt our approach to what feels most helpful for you. Some days that may mean slowing down and processing deeply; other times it may mean building practical strategies you can use right away.
Most importantly, we’ll create a space where you feel seen, supported, and understood. Clients often value the balance of compassion, curiosity, and practical guidance in our work. If you’re looking for a therapist who will meet you where you are and walk alongside you, we may be a great fit.

We do not bill insurance directly. Many therapists choose this approach to protect your privacy, reduce administrative hurdles, and maintain flexibility in how sessions are conducted.
That said, we offer super billing—a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. We also use Thrizer, a secure online platform that helps streamline the process of submitting claims as an out-of-network provider.
To make therapy more accessible, we also offer sliding scale options based on your income and needs. If you have questions about sliding scale fees or insurance, we’re happy to help you find the best option for your situation.

We offer in-person therapy in Nashville at two locations, East Nashville and Music Row, both conveniently located near several central neighborhoods.
Parking is conveniently available on-site, off the street, and at no cost to you, making it easy and accessible when you visit us in person.
To help ensure a sense of privacy, safety, and comfort, we don’t list our exact address on the website. Once you schedule your first session, you’ll receive a welcome email with everything you need—directions, parking info, and how to find us with ease.
Prefer to stay in your own space? We offer secure virtual therapy for clients across Tennessee and Colorado, with New York availability coming soon. Whether you're meeting us online or in person, your comfort and confidentiality are always a top priority.

Great question, because progress in therapy can look different for everyone. Sometimes it’s obvious (like big “a-ha” moments), but often, it’s the quieter signs that show it's working:
You start to feel more aware of your thoughts, emotions, and patterns
You handle tough situations with a bit more clarity or calm
You catch yourself using tools or insights outside the therapy room
You feel more connected to yourself or others
You notice even small shifts in how you respond instead of react
Therapy isn’t always linear. It can have ups, downs, and in-betweens. But over time, you’ll likely notice a growing sense of momentum, understanding, and self-trust.
And of course, your therapist will check in with you regularly to see how things are feeling and adjust the work to best support you.

Your first session is all about getting to know you. No pressure to have it all figured out. We’ll spend time exploring what brought you in, what you're hoping for, and what support might look like moving forward.
Here’s what you can expect:
A safe, welcoming space (virtual or in-person) to talk openly, at your pace.
Time to share your story, ask questions, and set goals together.
A chance to get a feel for your therapist (and yes, it’s totally okay to be nervous!).
There’s no “right” way to do therapy. We meet you where you are, whether that’s ready to dive deep or just dipping a toe in.
We’re here to walk with you, not rush you. 💛

We kindly ask that cancellations be made at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment to avoid any fees.
